We want to hear from you about where & how you like to travel, and your transportation project ideas!
• Please take this new survey! The survey is short and should only take you about five minutes. It will be extremely valuable for us to know where and how you like to travel, any barriers that you face and what types of transportation projects will provide the most benefit to the people in our community. Please fill out the survey by August 30, 2012.
• Provide your ideas on specific transportation projects that you think could improve transportation (automobile, bus, bicycle, pedestrian, commercial, etc) in Santa Cruz County. Please provide your ideas for transportation projects by August 30, 2012.
This information will be used to help us determine which projects to prioritize for the 2014 Regional Transportation Plan (RTP). The RTP is a long range transportation plan for the Santa Cruz County area. The long range transportation plan identifies multi-modal transportation needs (highway, road, transit, bicycle, pedestrian, etc), prioritizes limited transportation funding and develops a strategy to fund projects. Public input on the goals and policies for the 2014 Regional Transportation Plan prioritized maintaining the current transportation system, improving safety, and expanding options for how people travel. In order to make the best use of limited transportation dollars, we need your input on this phase of the plan development: project selection!
