On Thursday, August 2 at 9:30 am, a public hearing will be held on the $10 Vehicle Registration Fee for Local Road Repairs and Safer Streets proposed for the November 6, 2012 ballot. The hearing will be conducted during the RTC board meeting at the County of Santa Cruz Board of Supervisors Chambers, 701 Ocean St, Santa Cruz, CA.
This measure is aimed at helping repair local streets, create safer routes to schools, and improve pedestrian facilities. The approximately $2 million raised annually would be distributed to local jurisdictions and restricted for use on these purposes.
