Now’s your chance to provide feedback on the first draft of the long-term transportation plan goals, targets, and policies for Santa Cruz County and the Monterey Bay Region. Take the survey on the RTC’s Sustainable Transportation Plan Goals, Targets and Policies which remains open until May 9th. (extended to May 13th)
The draft transportation plan goals, targets, and policies build upon the RTC’s January decision to base the next transportation plan goals and policies on sustainable outcomes and on input received through the public RTP Sustainability Survey conducted in February. The sustainability outcomes focus on maximizing benefits in three areas: people, the planet and the economy. This is commonly called the “Triple Bottom Line”. In part, this work will help the Monterey Bay Region achieve statewide clean air and greenhouse gas emission reduction requirements, but it’s also critical to provide access to goods and services, provide options for people to get around, create a safe and healthy environment, benefit the local economy, and ensure that limited transportation funds are used efficiently.
Please forward this information to others who may be interested in taking the survey and in learning more about transportation planning in Santa Cruz County and the Monterey Bay Region. Find out more about the next Santa Cruz County Regional Transportation Plan.
