Bicycle and Pedestrian Hazard Report

Notify us of obstacles or hazards that may inhibit bike or pedestrian travel by using the RTC’s Hazard Report. These reports are forwarded to the appropriate local jurisdiction for action. Reports may be submitted at any time.

Complete all four steps in order to successfully submit the form; (1) locate the hazard, (2) select the hazard type, (3) describe the hazard, and (4) provide your contact information. All required fields must be filled. Required fields are marked with an asterisk. A downloadable PDF of the hazard form is also available.

  • Step 1: Locate Hazard

    Select one of the following two options to provide the location of the hazard.
  • OR

  • Use the map feature to locate the hazard by dragging and dropping the pin marker on the map. This will automatically fill the “Address” text box. Alternatively, you can populate the “Address” text box, which will in turn automatically drag the pin marker to the location entered. Note: Google Maps only recognizes cross streets if you enter one of the following two between the first and second cross streets: "and" "&". Google Maps does not recognize all cross streets.
  • Step 2: Select Hazard Type

  • Step 3: Describe Hazard

  • Accepted file types: jpg, jpeg, gif, png.
  • Step 4: Provide Contact Information

  • NOTE: Private property owners are responsible for the maintenance of sidewalks adjacent to their property, per California law. Hazard reports for these conditions will be forwarded to the property owner. See 2010 Report on Sidewalk Safety and Accessibility
