Highway 17 Access Management Plan Outreach Events

Caltrans and its partners are soliciting community feedback for the Highway 17 Access Management Plan (Hwy. 17 AMP) through upcoming outreach events and a newly launched project website.

The Hwy. 17 AMP is a long-range plan that will provide access management strategies and recommendations to address access, mobility, and safety needs in the Hwy. 17 corridor. These recommendations are intended to help reduce conflict points and preserve the functional integrity of the corridor as a safe and efficient interregional corridor. The plan will promote environmental and economic sustainability by coordinating land use and transportation planning.

A public workshop is scheduled this week in Scotts Valley. Please join us to learn more about the plan and provide input:

  • Public Workshop:
    •  Wednesday, December 2
    • 7-8:30 pm
    • Scotts Valley Senior Center
    • 370 Kings Village Rd, Scotts Valley, CA 95066

In addition to these events, Caltrans and its partners have launched the Hwy. 17 AMP website

The Hwy. 17 AMP website will be the best resource for keeping up with the development of the plan. The website contains information on the project background, study area characteristics and latest news and events. The website provides different options for people to get involved, an online interactive mapping exercise. Throughout the course of the project, Caltrans and its partners will expand the website by adding materials, announcements and other activities to create a strong online resource for the project.

We encourage you to take a look around the website to learn about the plan and how to get involved. Sign-up to receive email updates about new information, outreach events and interactive activities on the website.
