Draft 2020 Measure D Strategic Implementation Plan Now Available

The Santa Cruz County Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) released its Draft 2020 Measure D Strategic Implementation Plan for public comment today. This draft plan will serve as the guiding policy and programming document for the implementation of Regional Measure D projects. A public hearing will be held on Jan. 16, 2020 and it is expected that the plan will be adopted at the Feb. 6, 2020 RTC meeting.

The 2020 Measure D Strategic Implementation Plan provides a snapshot of how the RTC plans to expeditiously deliver Measure D funded projects and programs laid out in the voter-approved 2016 Measure D Ordinance and Expenditure Plan. The plan includes policies, project cost and delivery strategies, and anticipated revenue cash flow.

Once approved by the RTC, the 2020 Measure D Strategic Implementation Plan will guide the development and construction of Measure D transportation programs and projects throughout the county.

Comments must be received by 12 p.m. on Jan. 15 to be considered by the board at the Jan. 16 public hearing. Comments must be received by 12 p.m. on Feb. 5 to be considered by the board at the Feb. 6 meeting to adopt the plan.
